The liqueur is a laudable dessert in its own right. It has a lustrous golden hue, a lightweight satiny textured body and a layered bouquet of anise, vanilla, caramel, baking spices, fennel and zesty citrus. Thankfully the enticing aromas carry through to the palate. The long, lingering finish is surgically balanced and features the flavors identified in the bouquet.
